B-Band Communications Sdn Bhd was incorporated in February 1995 under the former name of Nanyang Resources. This dormant company was renamed in June 1997 and has been restructured to gear for the telecommunication and System Engineering business under the management led by Ir. Lee Cheng Siong who is the Managing Director / Project Director of the company. Her core activities include:
- Planning & Design Of OSP, FTTx, ISP And IBC Network.
- Supply, install, test & commissioning Of OSP, FTTx, ISP And IBC Network
- Preinstallation Survey, Installation, Test, Commissioning, Integration and migration of BTS Equipment & Antenna System.
- Telecommunication System and Broadband Equipment & Network Installation And Maintenance.
- HDD & Telecommunications Related Civil Works including Micro Trenching.
- Railway Cabling and System Installations.
- Secondment Of Skilled Telecommunication Personnel
- Survey, design, test & commissioning, integration of datacom, SDH, DWDM, MSAN & OLT equipment including migration of existing equipment to new ones.
The company is growing to focus on System Engineering and Telecommunication business as its core activities. The company is very active in wireless and also installation, testing and commissioning of fibre optic, copper, broadband network for Maxis, DiGi, Telekom Malaysia, TIME dotcom, Huawei Malaysia and new network owner in Malaysia. In year 2000, we have also played a very important role in the installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of Automatic Fare Collection System for PUTRA LRT2. The important projects currently undertaken by B-Band Communications Sdn. Bhd. are as follows;
- Survey, installation, testing, commissioning, integration and migration of fixed network equipment (DWDM, SDH, IPDSLAM, Core network, OLT, Mobile Backhaul and etc).
- Survey, installation, testing, commissioning, integration and migration of BTS equipment and antenna system.
- Software engineering for network equipment migration works (fixed network and cellular).
- Survey, design, installation, testing and commission of OSP & ISP, mainly optical fibre cable. The job scope includes the permit application to local authorities.
- Micro trenching for optical fibre cable installation in city areas for fast deployment and minimum disturbance to the general public.
- Installation of railway communication and system engineering works.
